Google launched its Google AJAX Libraries API earlier this month. Its a good idea to take advantage of this especially if you are using Blogger.com . Right now wctang seems to be only other blogger.com user I who mentions Google Ajax Libraries API.
Guess, I can now consider using one of javascript libraries for the next redesign of this blog.

Unkown i810 Display Problem
When shutdown is initiated from a X window session my old HP Pavilion desktop turns green and barfs all over me. If you know a fix, shout it out.
Update: Mis-spelled word "Unkown" in the title of this post, leaving it uncorrected since it will mess up the url of the post.
The IT Man
I spent sometime on Friday evening exploring Hyderabad Central University campus, I spotted this in a corner of the art department's studio.

It's not the Gates, it's the bars
Everyone loves Auntie Beeb, here is one more reason to love her more. While the rest of the media regularly pumped stories about Bill Gates departure from Microsoft BBC NEWS published this article by RMS. Perhaps the wordplay of word 'Gates' in the title says is all.
Excerpts from the article

Apertium: Open source machine translation
If you are interested in Machine Translation(MT) then you should read this great introductory article on Apertium MT system. Well I didn't know that Apertium is the open-source Systran (the engine that powers Babelfish) Did you? .
At the time of writing this post, there are no stable language pair for Indian languages in Apertium, If you are interested in working on one, do send me a shout out.
Kudos to Jimmy O'Regan for writing this one.
